Arrival to Poland and transfer to the town of Zakopane situated 120 km south of Krakow at the foot of the Tatra Mountains – the highest mountain range in Carpathian Mountains. Accommodation in Basienka pension situated near Nosal skislopes.  Dinner.

After breakfast the bus takes us to Kiry where we start our warm-up hike in Koscieliska Valley. This 6 km long valley is considered to be one of the most beautiful in the western Tatras. All along the route you can see the the Koscieliski Brook and admire the narrowing rock gates and limestone. There are also numerous caves here, some of them opened to tourists such as “Mroźna” (Frosty) cave. We have lunch in the Ornak hut and then go back to the bus. Dinner in the pension.

Breakfast. Fullday trip in the mountains to Kasprowy Wierch (1987 m above sea level) that rises from the main ridge of the Tatras on the Polish-Slovakian border. We ascend the peak by the cable-car from Kuznice. At the top we take a break in the restaurant and after that continue downhill to the Gasienicowa valley and to Murowaniec mountain hut. We can even see the beautiful Black Lake surrounded by some of the highest peaks of Tatra. Back in Zakopane in the late afternoon. Dinner.

Breakfast. In the morning we have a transfer to Pieniny range (30 km east-north of Tatra) where we will take a raft trip down the river Dunajec. We start in Sromowce and end 15 km further in Szczawnica where we have lunch. Drive back to Zakopane and dinner.

Breakfast and packed lunch. Our hike starts in Kuznice (1000 m). After half an hour we reach the large and grassy Kalatowki Glade (1200 m). We then take the picturesque trail Sciezka  Nad Reglami (Path above the Regle) that offers excellent opportunities to watch plants of lower parts of the mountain range. The hike is about 3 – 4 hours long and our highest point today is Sarnia Skala – Deer Rock, 1377 m. We can enjoy beautiful views over to Mount Giewont on one side and Zakopane on the other one. Giewont with the 17 meter high cross on top is the most distinctive peak in the area and it called the “Sleeping Knight” based on its silhouette and old legend.  On the way back we take a break in the Strazyska Valley. Dinner.

After breakfast transfer to the airport in Krakow (or other city) for departure.
